One dead after vehicle rolls down river embankment along outskirts of Polokwane
The incident occurred near the corner of Nelson Mandela Drive and Vermikuliet Street
POLOKWANE – It is alleged the driver of a Nissan LDV, lost control of the vehicle, overturned and fell down the river embankment, reads a statement on Traffic Affairs north of Gauteng.
A man in his late thirties was killed and one passenger sustained serious injuries.
The exact cause of the accident is not yet known, however, high speed and reckless driving have not been ruled out.
Meanwhile in the Mashashane Policing District another man in his late twenties, was killed after the vehicle he was driving overturned along the D19 ( Matlala road) near Segopetjane cross. It is alleged the driver lost control of the vehicle, a VW sedan, due to high speed.
Investigations in both incidents are still continuing.
