Lim Govt visits Mozambique for business prospects

A provincial delegation tasked with looking for agriculture and business opportunities in Africa and led by MEC Basikopo Makamu of Agriculture and Rural Development and his Economic Development, Tourism and Environment counterpart, Seaparo Sekoati, attended the Gaza Province investment conference in Mozambique recently.
The conferencewas reportedly guided by the theme ‘Gaza on the progress route’ and the Limpopo delegation consists of five farmers and seven businesspersons who attended the conference to explore business opportunities and new markets.
According to information made available by Agriculture and Rural Development spokesperson Molebatsi Masedi, the delegation will further explore the prospects of growing their markets and strengthen country ties. He further stated that the group was expected back in Polokwane last Thursday.
Masedi quoted Makamu to have said “The Gaza Province offers huge prospects in agriculture, energy, tourism, agro-processing, economic development zones and infrastructure. Limpopo’s presence at the investment conference opens a window of opportunity to business people in the province.”
He concluded by saying prospects for business and markets in Mozambique are huge. The delegation also includes Agriculture and Rural Development Head of Department Jacqueline Maisela and Masedi.
