Boy (3) found dead in a pool of blood in bushes near Groblesdal

Police say the motive behind the little boy's murder is subject to police investigations.

LIMPOPO – Provincial Commissioner of the South African Police Service in Limpopo, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has sent a stern warning to all perpetrating any form of violent crimes against children.

This, after a three-year-old boy’s body was found dumped in the bushes near Koting Village in the Marble Hall Policing area outside Groblesdal on Friday, 7 December.

According to police spokesperson, a passer-by made the gruesome discovery and alerted the police. Upon arrival, the deceased was found lying in a pool of blood with stones next to his body, which is suspected to be the weapon used during his murder.

The little boy was identified as Samson Sithole and police say the motive behind this brutal incident is subject to police investigations. 

“Police in Limpopo are determined to robustly deal with all criminal activities affecting our children. Those who choose to close their ears to our continuous warnings, will be hunted down until we take them to where they belong,” Ledwaba said.
