Gospel festival held at the Polokwane Cricket Club marred by theft

Gospel fan Kiasto Papole from Kagodu needs your help in locating certain stolen items that were stolen from his vehicle at a recent festival.

POLOKWANE – Kiasto spoke to BONUS on the circumstances in which these items were stolen.

“I attended the gospel festival, which was held in the city two weeks ago. My vehicle was parked outside the venue, and when I returned to the vehicle after the festival, I was shocked to find it unlocked.”

He said there was no break-in and that it seemed someone had remote-jammed his vehicle which caused it not to be locked.

His brand new Lenovo i7 laptop, Lenovo external hard-rive, three bank cards and smart ID were stolen during the incident. “I plead with the community of Polokwane to please help me find these items. The hard drive contains a Sepedi movie’s raw clips which I just finished shooting, wedding videos for a client I shot and was supposed to deliver DVDs to them on Sunday,” he explained.

Papole said he knows of more people who still planned on opening cases with the police, after the same happened to them.

Police Spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed that cases had been opened by other revellers at the festival.

This included theft out of motor vehicle, items stolen such as a laptop, cash, bank cards, identity documents and a computer hard drive. No arrests have been made yet.

If you know anything of the stolen goods, phone the Polokwane Police Station at (015) 230 1002 or Kiasto, at 079 160 6909.
