R100 000 reward offered for information on Limpopo hospital robbery suspects’ whereabouts

The Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has already put a 72 hour action plan in motion to hunt down the suspects.

POLOKWANE – Police in Limpopo are offering a reward of up to R100 000 for any valuable information that can lead to the arrest of the suspects responsible for the house robberies and attempted murder incidents at both the Letaba and Lebowakgomo Hospitals respectively.

On Thursday morning, 22 November, five suspects attacked doctors in their residential premises at the Letaba Hospital, outside Tzaneen and robbed them of cash, cellphones, televisions and laptops.

In a similar incident, a group of seven suspects went to the Lebowakgomo Hospital this morning, 24 November and broke into the doctors’residence and robbed them of money, cellphones and laptops.

Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe says in both incidents, the suspects gained access to the premises of these hospitals by breaking the concrete bars of fences behind the doctors’ residences and proceeded to the houses to committed these crimes.

Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has already put a 72 hour action plan in motion to hunt down the suspects.

“The same Provincial Task Team, led by a Major General handling the Letaba Hospital attack will also take over the investigation of the Lebowakgomo Hospital attack. Anyone with information that can lead to the arrest of these suspects is requested to contact Brigadier James Esbach at 082 576 0743; Captain Richard Boshomane at 079 894 5501; the toll free number 0860010111 or contact the nearest police. Any information received will be treated with the strictest confidentiality,” Ngoepe concluded.
