BREAKING NEWS – Suspected robber allegedly shot and killed at Cycad Shopping Complex

A suspected criminal who was allegedly attempting to rob a person of an undisclosed amount of cash at Cycad Shopping Centre early this morning (Monday) was reportedly shot and killed by the victim of the supposed crime. A second person suspected of being involved in the incident apparently managed to flee the scene.
Eyewitnesses indicated that the two suspects seemingly attempted to rob the victim of a brown bag apparently containing cash. The suspects succeeded but the victim produced a firearm, shot and killed one suspect and wounded the other on the leg. The witnesses stated, adding that the other suspect managed to flee the scene.
It was further learnt that the victim, alleged to be a local businessperson, had apparently been robbed about three times at the shopping centre.
Polokwane Police spokesperson Lesiba Ramoshaba was at the scene but could not give information of the incident. He said the Police communication team would issue a statement in due course.
