BREAKING NEWS – Shocking evidence as Rameez Patel’s brother testifies

Double murder accused Rameez Patel continuously shook his head in disbelieve while his brother Razeen testified against him in the Limpopo High Court earlier this morning (Monday).

Court is expected to resume after lunch when Razeen who arrived from the United Kingdom on the weekend and was escorted by protection services for his own safety at the court building, is due to continue with his testimony.
Razeen, for fear of his safety, has resided in London, UK following an attempt on his life earlier this year. Ali Salman who faces a charge of attempted murder is out on bail in connection with the incident during which Razeen was shot four times.
The court heard this morning how, after the murder of his wife Fatima in Nirvana in April 2015, Rameez had allegedly threatened his brother on several occasions.
Razeen also testified that Rameez had allegedly confessed to him to have killed Fatima and that he would also be killed if he talked to anyone about what happened.
Razeen indicated that he had spoken to his father Feroz and mother Mahejeen about Fatima’s killing on separate occasions. He further testified that both his parents were killed within weeks after their respective conversations.
Feroz died during an apparent armed robbery in Polokwane in August 2016 while Mahejeen was fatally shot at home in Nirvana in September last year.
The court also learnt that Razeen had allegedly been tasked by Rameez to hide a box containing evidence such as bloody clothes and a firearm, in a warehouse. Razeen continued to testified that, following Rameez’s arrest in connection with Fatima’s death one week later, his current wife, Nazreen reportedly contacted Razeen and asked him to provide her with the box.
