POLOWKANE – Do you and Garfield share a love for lasagne like no other? Then this recipe is the one for you.
What’s for Dinner says this indulgent version of a classic Italian dish uses cream, mozzarella and plenty of garlic to create a dish your friends and family will rave about.
Ingredients
Method
- Heat oven to 180 °C.
- Cook the broccoli in boiling salted water for 1 minute, drain and set aside.
- Heat the oil in a pan and add the onion and cook until soft, then add the mince and garlic. Cook over a medium-high heat until the mince has browned.
- Add the parsley, tomatoes, peppers, basil and Knorr Naturally Tasty Lasagne Recipe Mix, turn down the heat, and simmer for 1 hour.
- While the meat is simmering, prepare the lasagne sheets. Soak them in hot water for about 30 minutes, or until soft.
- In a pot melt the butter over a low heat and add the flour. Cook for 1 minute, then add the milk, and cream, whisking all the time to prevent lumps. Simmer the sauce for 5 minutes.
- Now assemble your lasagne. Lightly coat a baking dish with cooking spray. Place one third of the mince on the bottom of the dish with ½ of the cooked broccoli. Add a layer of pasta sheets, and top with one-third of the cheese sauce. Sprinkle with a third of the mozzarella cubes, and repeat these layers twice.
- Top off with a final layer of lasagne sheets and sprinkle the Cheddar cheese all over the top.
- Cover the dish with tin foil and bake at 180 °C for 25 minutes. Now remove the foil and bake for a further 20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
- Serve hot with a crisp green salad.
