Urgent search launched to find missing toddler (3)

The Thohoyandou Police appeal to public to assist them in locating the three-year-old boy who went missing from Khubvi village outside Thohoyandou on Monday 5 November.

LIMPOPO – According to Constable Tshifhiwa Radzilane, the victim, Mukhwathi Ndiwakhonadzeo was allegedly playing with the other children in an open field near to the village when he went missing.

Soon after the child was reported missing officers from the SAPS Search and Rescue ,Thohoyandou and Makhado K9 units, family of the victim and community members immediately commenced with a search operation.

“A massive search has since been conducted in the bushes, abandoned houses, open pits and along Mudaswali River, but was unsuccessful. We have even conducted a house to house search and will proceed until the child is located,” Radzilane added.

The child is dark in complexion and was wearing only a pair of navy blue tracksuit pants when he went missing.


The Police have urged the affected communities to refrain from engaging in any form of violence and to come forward should they have information which can assist the police in locating the missing toddler.
