Ebenezer Plant off due to electricity failure in Tzaneen, water shortages expected

The Polokwane Municipality says an update will be provided once feedback is received.

POLOKWANE – According to a statement by the Polokwane Municipality, the Ebenezer plant has been off since last night due to an electricity failure in the Tzaneen area.

According to information received from Lepelle Northern Water, electricity in Tzaneen is off due to lightning that struck in the area last night. However, the electricity department is busy with repairs.

“All areas including Polokwane, Seshego, Mankweng and GaMmamabolo will be affected and stakeholders are advised to use water sparingly during this period in order to minimise the impact and avoid shortages,” the statement read.

The municipality says an update will be provided once feedback is received and residents can report shortages to the water helpline at 0152902376/2629.
