It was all about fun and games at PEPPS Preparatory School and College on Tuesday when the nearly 100 learners of the Foundation Phase participated in different sport activities during fun day on the sports fields.
The Grade R to 3 parents joined the festivities in large numbers and were cheering their children from the sideline while also participating in some of the activities such as the 60 m sprint, sack and wheelbarrow run and potato run.
Educator Chantéll Kidd said the day was intended to offer the learners and their parents exercise in a fun way. The 60 m sprint is part of preparations for next year’s Ironwood Independent Athletics event for primary schools, according to Kidd.
The learners got sweet treats after the activities and Kidd thanked the parents for their continued support and the learners for their enthusiasm.
