Mayoral Bursaries: apply now for 2019

Makhado Local Municipality invites Gr 12 learners residing within the demarcation of the municipality, intending to enrol in institutions of higher learning in 2019, to apply for the Mayoral Bursary Scheme.

LIMPOPO – The bursary aims to assist academically deserving learners from poor backgrounds.

Applications are invited from Gr 12 learners who are currently studying physical science, mathematics and commercial subjects.

Learners should be enrolling in the following fields during their time of study: civil engineering; information technology; B.Com accounting; electrical engineering; real estate (property valuation or town planning) and built environment.

Applicants are advised to attach the following documents to their application forms, according to the municipality:

Certified copies of South African identify document of applicant and parents or legal guardian; proof of income of parents or legal guardian; provisional confirmation of application at a university or TVET college; letter from the ward councillor and school principal or traditional authority; and affidavit confirming indigent status.

The applicants are advised to sign a record register at the municipal offices when they submit the applications.

The application forms are available at Makhado Civic Centre, ward councillor circuit offices, traditional offices, and regional offices such as Dzanani and Waterval.

The completed forms with attachments must be sent to: Municipal Manager, Private Bag X2596, Louis Trichardt, 0920.

The closing date for submission of application forms is 31 December 2018 at 16:00.
