According to Police spokesperson, Bragadier Motlafela Mojapelo, six people died during an apparent head on collision involving a sedan and a bakkie. “All six deceased were occupants from the sedan. A further three people from the bakkie were seriously injured. All injured were taken to a nearby hospital.”
The identities of the deceased have not yet been determined. The cause of the collision is also not yet known at this stage as police investigations are still unfolding, Mojapelo concluded.
This comes exactly a week after 26 people, including a well-known couple from Polokwane, died in a horrific collision along the N1 near Kranskop after a freight truck collided with a minibus taxi and several vehicles.
Motorists are calling the stretch of road between Kranskop and Polokwane a death trap and are calling for a redesign or a barrier to erected to separate the southbound and northbound lanes.

How do we ignore such innovative ideas that could save lives and continue finding comfort in blaming motorist for speeding from Kranskop heading North. They just don't care about anything but themselves. We are not asking for 6 lanes for Pete's sake! A BARRIER!! That's all
