Polokwane Executive Mayor, Thembi Nkadimeng hosted a reception for more than 200 head girls from secondary schools from circuits in the municipal area at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium last Thursday.
MEC for Education, Ishmael Kgetjepe also attended and delivered his best wishes to the learners before sitting for the final examinations of their school careers.
Nkadimeng spoke from her heart and aimed to instill hope and courage in the young girls to achieve and follow their dreams without fear irrespective of their gender. She told the young leaders to face the world as young girls and to be competitive against all odds.

Grade 12 learners Andiswa Ngwenya from Harry Oppenheimer Agricultural High School, Zelrie du Bruyn and Andri Cronjé from Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naudé and Indoniah Letsoalo from Mothimako Secondary School are among the head girls who attended the function last Thursday.
A group of learners from various schools in the Polokwane municipal area received good wishes before their matric examinations that were due to start this week.
