Kekana was suspended from school on Wednesday, 10 October.

His advocate, Mphafolane Koma, says:

“The school alleges that the reason for suspension is that he was found in possession of drugs on the school premises. A rule nisi was issued calling upon the respondents to show cause on 12 November as to why this court order should not be made final,” Koma told Bosveld.

Steele told Bosveld that he is not yet able to comment as the School’s Governing Body must first have a meeting to decide what their due course would be.

“In the meantime, I can whatsoever leave comment on my personal behalf: as long as the truth prevails.”
