Limpopo municipality hands over title deeds to 550 families

The lives of more than 550 families changed forever when they recently became home-owners during a ceremony at extension 19.

LIMPOPO – CoGHSTA MEC Jerry Ndou, Mogalakwena Acting Mayor Malesela Mokwele, municipal councillors and officials, handed over title deeds to residents of extension 19 and 20 on Friday, 5 October.

Ndou said: “As the ANC-led government we have made the handing over of title deeds and land a priority.

“Giving people the ownership of their homes they have lived in for many years, is important to eradicate the legacy left by the apartheid system. Please take care of this houses, you should always keep it in your mind that in the whole world it’s only the ANC government that is able to build and give citizens houses for free.

“This is your government and we will continue building houses and giving you free services, especially the disadvantaged families.”

MEC Ndou advised the attendants not to rent or sell those houses as they belong to them and their children.

Earlier, before the Mokopane hand over, the South African President Cyril Ramaphosa gave 443 homes, owners, when he handed over the title deeds to them, in Durban-Kokstad.
