The Polokwane Magistrate’s Court earlier this morning (Thursday) referred the case of Rameez Patel who accused of alleged involvement in the murder of Mahejeen Patel, his mother at her house just over a year ago, to the Limpopo High Court and scheduled it for 27 to 31 May next year.
Mahejeen was allegedly shot at her home on 19 September last year. Ten days after the incident Patel who was at the time out on bail for the alleged killing of his wife Fatima, was arrested.
Earlier this year the magistrate’s court rejected his bail application and has been in custody ever since.
His trial in connection with the alleged murder of Fatima three and a half years ago is set to start n the High Court next week.
