[TAKE NOTE] Dept of Transport launches Transport Month in Polokwane

The carnival will start at the SABC Park and end at the Polokwane Cricket Club. Traffic will be diverted along the route.

POLOKWANE – The MEC of Transport & Community Safety, Makoma Makhurupetje will officially launch the Departmental October Transport Month (OTM) campaign today (Tuesday, 2 October) in Polokwane central business district (CBD).
The Launch will be in a form of a carnival which will start at the SABC Park and end at the Polokwane Cricket Club. The theme for the event is “ Together We Move South Africa Forward”.

Departmental spokesperson, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, says the motorcade will assemble at the SABC Park at 09:00 and will proceed to Polokwane Cricket Club, where the MEC
will be outlining the Departmental activities and the significance of October Transport Month.
“We will also use the Launch to Parade our 240 Limpopo Traffic College Students which will increase the presence of our traffic officials on our main road as they will be graduating next year January.”
