Toddlers of Share Joy Day Care concluded a week of learning about the importance of planting trees and plants and how to care for them by planting some greenery on the school premises on Friday.
This initiative forms part of Arbour Month to teach children the essential role trees play in sustainable development and the livelihoods of people and their environment and to leave a legacy of a green earth instilled in future leaders.
Principal Josephine Kagori said toddlers had to bring their own plants from home and find a suitable space on the school premises to plant them.
