Socialising around a fire with quality South African meat sizzling on the grid and residents sporting traditional attire characterised this year’s Heritage Day celebrations across the city.
On this day, South Africans are encouraged to celebrate their culture and the diversity of their beliefs and traditions in the wider context of a nation that belongs to all its people.
It was especially schools in the city that went to the extreme with learners showing off their traditional wear.
