Trappers named top store for the fifth time in 15 years

Trappers Mall of the North (MOTN) was recently named Franchisee of the Year 2018, standing out above 38 Trappers stores in the country and making this the fifth time in 15 years that they have won this title.
Criteria considered when choosing the top store included reflecting positive growth, store and personnel appearance and excellent customer service among others.
Owner Pieter Olivier has been involved with Trappers in Polokwane for the past 24 years. Trappers Polokwane first opened its doors in 1994 in the Palm Centre. In 1998 they moved to Savannah Mall and the branch is one of the tenants that opened their doors when MOTN opened in April 2011. The Trappers franchise goes back to 1976 when the franchiser opened the first store in Pietermaritzburg. The aim was to supply the local community with essential outdoor gear.
Trappers MOTN offers a wide range of essential outdoor gear to choose from, which is enormously popular with outdoors enthusiasts. Their best sellers include a variety of torches, binoculars and assortment of woman and men’s clothing including active wear, headwear, waterproof jackets and footwear.
Olivier said the award would not have been possible had it not been for the personnel’s dedication and hard work. Having won this award five times proves the dedication of our team,” he said.
“We also thank all our customers for their loyal support throughout the years,” Olivier concluded.
