Some extreme online gaming is expected when Hoër Tegniese Skool Tom Naudé hosts the Mind Sports South Africa (MSSA) Limpopo Local Area Network (LAN) Championships next weekend.
MSSA General Secretary Colin Webster indicated that the tournament serves as qualifier for the national team trials to be held next year.
He added that registration is open and will close on Monday. Late entries will only be accepted in exceptional circumstances. Players who wish to compete in any MSSA championships are advised to complete their annual registration forms so that they can compete as registered members as soon as possible.
Gamers are advised that the Limpopo championships is an open competition and any registered player is entitled to enter.
Entry fees are R64 per registered player and all competitors must bring their own computers. Players must ensure that all game updates are done prior to arrival. No updates will be permitted at the event. Gaming is scheduled for 9:00 until 19:00 on Saturday and 09:00 to 17:00 on Sunday followed by the awards ceremony at 18:00.
