Make your own outdoor sitting area by following these DIY steps
When you feel like your outdoor area, garden or even braai area needs a little something extra, why not use make some outdoor furniture out of wooden pallets and make a sofa.
POLOKWANE – Here is a step by step DIY project to make your new favorite place to be in your own outdoor area:
You will need some wooden pallets, nails or cable ties, paint, a brush and some pillows and decorations.
• Get some Wooden Pallets that can usually be bought or even taken for free.
• Stack the pallets of the same size one on top of the other as high as you would like your seat to be. Make sure that the pallets are the same size.
• Tie the pallets together with cable ties or screws to make sure they stay in place. You can either leave the pallets the way they are or make them a little smoother.
• Use a brush and paint the pallets the colour you like. Using a outdoor or exterior paint works best. You can even paint the pallets roughly to give it a weathered look.
• Place one of the pallets either on the stack or behind to make the back of the sofa and make use of the cable ties or crews to fasten them and keep them in place.
• Cut wood to the size of the seat to give equal support when sitting.
• Now decorate with cushions and pillows and have a seat while you enjoy your new outdoor addition.
