Shelley Lewin, certified counsellor and professional coach, was the guest speaker at the PanSolutions breakfast on Saturday

POLOKWANE – No matter who we are or what we do, we are all in relationships. Be it with a family member, a spouse, child, a friend or just a colleague.

Keeping a relationship healthy takes hard work and many have, over the years, turned to life coaches for assistance in bettering themselves and their relationships.

One such coach is the mind behind the brand ‘The Relationship Architect‘, Shelley Lewin who is a relationship practitioner and executive coach. She was recently invited to be the guest speaker at a breakfast hosted by Pansolutions at Fusion Boutique Hotel on Saturday,8 September where she gave the audience insight on how to bring about positivity and develop their personal and professional relationships.

During this breakfast Review caught up with her, to find out more about her and her field of study.

Over a cup of coffee she told Review that she was a personal trainer before she ventured into coaching.

“I was inspired to pursue a career in counseling after I attended a personal development course in Cape Town. I completed my first training in the early 2000’s and after being exposed to the coaching approach I found it to be empowering for both individuals and couples.

She transitioned from traditional couple counselling to relationship coaching in 2006, opened a private practice.

“I mainly focused on individuals and couples and used my 13 years of marriage and my own life experiences as a ‘laboratory’,” she said.

Shelley furthered her studies and is now an internationally accredited Solution Focused Brief Coach (ICF- PCC) and designs processes for high performance and optimal growth in and between individuals, couples and groups.

“The Relationship Architect is about renovating and restoring connections between people.”

“She collaborates with executives as a thinking partner to deliberately craft their leadership, teams and organizations. Shelley has a decade of experience working with corporate clients and is an associate coach with Naspers (Emerging Leadership programme), Coach Matching and Brain Exchange offering coaching and education in government and private sector.”
