Limpopo police need help to find ‘highly wanted’ business robbery suspects

Police in Limpopo have made an urgent appeal to the public with information which can lead to the arrest of 22 highly wanted individuals suspected of a spate of business robberies at various businesses around the province.

LIMPOPO – Limpopo Police Spokesperson, Moatshe Ngoepe, said the police need assistance in identifying the people in CCTV footage from the businesses. “We ask them to come and assist us with the investigation to bring these criminals to book,” Ngoepe said.

The armed robbers have robbed several businesses in Dennilton, Giyani, Groblersdal, Northam and Morone.

They have stolen an undisclosed amount of cash, cell phones and tablets worth over R1,5 million as well as airtime vouchers.

Businesses are usually targeted by two to four armed robbers who then order the employees at gunpoint to open the safe or force open the cabinets where the stolen items were kept.

In one of the robberies in Groblersdal, the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle with the registration number CTF 537 MP.

Anyone with information that can lead to the apprehension of these suspects are requested to call Capt Richard Boshomane at 079 894 5501, the Crime Stop number at 08600 10111 or the Crime Line SMS 32211. Alternatively they can go to their nearest police station.

Ngoepe added no one has been arrested as yet and police investigations are still ongoing.
