A refrigerated truck landed on its side at the Dalmada traffic circle last Thursday after the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle.
An eyewitness said two persons were in the vehicle that was travelling from the city towards Mankweng. The person also said he was informed that the truck was carrying a load of maize meal.
According to him, similar accidents happen at the circle nearly daily and he cited the example of a truck driver that had lost control a day before at the same spot causing the vehicle to overturn and catch fire. He went on to blame high speed driving for the regular incidents. Nobody was injured in either of the two accidents, it was learnt. Police could not provide information of the incident by the time of going to print.
