Woman (32) arrested for speeding at 191 km/h near Settlers on the N1

The woman is one of three drivers recently arrested for speeding on the N1

LIMPOPO – According to the spokesperson for the Department of Transport, Matome Moremi-Taueatsoala, between yesterday, 30 August, and today, 31 August, three drivers have been arrested on Limpopo’s roads for speeding.

A 32-year-old female was arrested for speeding by 191km/h near the Settlers bridge.

Moremi-Taueatsoala says the woman was traveling in a maroon Mercedes and she was detained at the Belabela Police Station. 

The second arrest came after a 27-year-old man was caught speeding at 175 km/h, also near the Settlers Bridge. According to Moremi-Taueatsoala, the man was traveling in a silver Renault Clio and was also detained at the Belabela Police Station.

The third arrest was made after another male driver was caught traveling at 172 km/h in a Kia Sedan.

“The driver was caught on the N1 Eersbewoond and was detained at the Belabela Police Station,” Moremi-Taueatsoala concluded.
