Olifantspoort plant back in operation following emergency repairs on Tuesday

Residents are urged to be patient as the water will take a while before it reaches the city

POLOKWANE – The Polokwane Municipality reports: “The plant is back in operation after being stopped last night (Tuesday) due to emergency repairs undertaken on Specon pipeline that was damaged while cleaning storm water drainage channels.”

“It will take a while before water reaches affected areas as Lepelle Northern Water(LNW) is still busy with line and command reservoirs filling.”

All areas of supply including Zebediela, Lebowakgomo, Chuene, Maja, Polokwane and Seshego are affected.

We urge residents receiving supply to use water sparingly and apologies for the inconveniences caused by the unforseen circumstance.

“The municipality apologies for the inconveniences caused by this unforeseen circumstance.”
