Municipal ‘load shedding’ to affect Westenburg, Nirvana for the next two days

The Municipality has apologised for any inconvenience caused.

POLOKWANE – According to the Polokwane Municipality, all areas being supplied by the Epsilom substation will experience two hour power cuts as part of managing power supply. This, after the substation lost a second transformer.

“The rationalization/shedding will be implemented according to patterns of consumption throughout the period. Only areas from this substation will be affected,” they said.

The municipality added that the situation may last for the next two days.

“Consumers in all areas are also advised to reduce electricity consumption in order to sustain supply to the affected areas.”

The following areas are affected: Nirvana, Westernburg, Rainbow Park, Superbia, parts of the CBD area, Laboria and parts of the Extensions from Ext 44.
