Polokwane residents urged to make necessary arrangements ahead of plant shutdown

Ebenezer Plant will be shutdown for approximately 11 hours on Tuesday

POLOKWANE – Residents are hereby notified that the Ebenezer Plant will be shutdown for several hours tomorrow (Tuesday 21 August).

“We just received a notification from Lepelle Northern Water (LNW) that Ebenezer plant will be off on Tuesday due to a damaged pipeline at Ga-Makanye village.The plant will be stopped to allow emergency repairs on the pipeline,” said the Polokwane Municipality in a statement.

Repairs will start at 08:00 and are expected to take around 11 hours to be completed.

All areas of supply will be affected which include Zebediela, Lebowakgomo, Tzaneen, Polokwane, Seshego and Mankweng.

We urge residents to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the emergency repairs and use water sparingly at all times as shortages might be expected, the municipality concluded.
