[TAKE NOTE] Ebenezer Plant is off again due to electricity issues, shortages expected

The municipality says Lepelle Northern Water are working closely with the Tzaneen Municipality to resolve the matter.

POLOKWANE – The municipality says it received another notice this morning, 17 August, from Lepelle Northern Water that the Ebenezer plant is off again due to electricity challenges.

This after it experienced same challenge yesterday.

“They are putting every effort to speedily resolve this matter together with the Tzaneen Municipality,” a statement read.

As a result, areas from Ga-Mamabolo, Mankweng, the city area and Seshego will continue to be affected whilst the issue is being sorted.

The municipality say they will continue supplying temporary relief to affected areas through water tankers.

“Reservoir levels remain critically low due to supply disruptions. Water supply is currently beimg received from Olifantspoort. Areas in the low catchment receiving water are advised to use water sparingly to avoid critical shortages. No watering of gardens,” the Municipality said.

They further apologised for any inconvenience caused.
