Muni: Olifantspoort Plant off, repairs to take more than 10 hours

This follows a shutdown at the Ebenezer Plant on Thursday

POLOKWANE -Operations at the Olifantspoort Plant have been stopped to allow for repairs to made to the Specon Pipeline.

This according to a statement issued by the Polokwane Municipality a few minutes ago.

“We just received a notification from Lepelle Northern Water that the Olifantspoort plant is stopped due to Specon pipeline breakdown. The repairs will take more than 10 hours to be completed.”

All areas of supply will be affected which include Zebediela, Lebowakgomo and Polokwane.

The municipality apologises for this inconvenience caused to all affected stakeholders. Affected residnets can contact the water helpline on 015 290 2376/2629.

“We urge residents to use water sparingly until the repairs are completed.”
