DAWN leader, provincial chair interacts with women at taxi rank

The visit was part of their Women's Month activities

POLOKWANE – Democratic Alliance Federal Women’s Network (Dawn) leader Nomafrench Mbombo and Provincial Chairperson Desiree van der Walt, with some DA members walked to the Pick n Pay taxi rank, interacting with women as part of Women’s Month activities.

“Women in Limpopo face persistent challenges brought about by poverty, unemployment and lack of access to opportunities. In certain instances, they are forced to exchange sexual favours or money in order to gain access to work opportunities,” Mbombo said.

The DAWN leaders were joined by the provincial executive members, DA councilors and activists, who handed out pamphlets to women.
