POLOKWANE – The walk is aimed at encouraging healthy and active lifestyles at the workplace, especially in schools, and teachers from all over the city attended.
+- 2000 teachers including the teachers from Eagles Nest and Good Hope Primary schools joined in the wellness fun.
Mosima Serokole, teacher at Good Hope Primary school, said the fun walk is a great initiative towards keeping educators active and energetic.
“Teachers seldom get a chance to take a walk or go to gym to exercise and this will help us active and healthy. We thoroughly enjoyed the event and I want to encourage all teachers to join in next year. We need to keep fit and healthy so that we can continue to educate our children and help them to grow into better people,” she concluded.
“The fun walk afforded us the opportunity to not only exercises but to also meet and engage with teachers from other schools. I look forward to next year’s fun walk and I encourage all teachers to come and participate,” said Eagles Nest teacher Bridgett Wasema.
