POLOKWANE – According to a statement released by the Polokwane Municipality, Council has resolved that historical bills for indigents will be cancelled.
In addition, all indigents consuming electricity and water in line with the indigent policy will not have their services cut-off and all cut-offs made to indigent households will be reconnected.
Prepaid meters will be installed in all registered indigent households, with 100kwh of electricity and 6kl of water provided monthly to the household.
“Further information regarding these council resolutions is available on display at your nearest Municipal office and through your ward Councilors,” the statement said.
