POLOKWANE – Wanting to help people form a closer bond with God, Machuene Thapelo Maleka put pen to paper and wrote Pray Effectively.
From Seshego Zone 1, Machuene recently launched her book at Grace International Assemblies of God church to great reception while gospel artist, Lucas Moloma, provided top notch entertainment.
Maleka is a member of a group of intercessors called the International Wednesday Prayer Group.
She and her husband have been married for 13 years and are blessed with four daughters, Mahlatse, Lethabo, Lebogang and Lerato.
“The idea was to inform people to restore prayer, and have a good relationship with God. People who are shy to pray infront of others can learn to pray for themselves, something I actually encourage. The launch exceeded my expectations and I am elated people came in their numbers to support me. I am currently in the process of writing my next book, Waiting Upon the Lord, which will be launched next year. The book will teach people what they must do when they are waiting for the Lord to answer their prayers,” said Maleka.
She added Pray Effectively is not only a book but also a vehicle that commutes the reader to a place where he or she will grow closer to God by spending time in His presence.
“Nonetheless, our God is precise; therefore, this is a guide that gives you grounding in what prayer entails and who should pray, how, why, where and to whom must we pray. I have realised many people don’t know how to pray correctly or effectively, they just pray. Unfortunately this means they feel like they’re hitting a wall and not getting the answers they need as their prayers do not reach God. I want to share praying methods with them so they can pray effectively,” she explained.
