R300 000 reward offered for info in Limpopo policeman’s murder

The burnt body of Colonel, Mohlabi Lazarus Tlomatsana was found in a vehicle next to the R37 road in February 2018.

LIMPOPO – The Police are offering a reward of up to R300 000 for any information that can assist the police in the investigation into the death of Col Tlomatsana, said Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo.

This gruesome discovery was made by a passerby who spotted the burnt out Mercedes-Benz compressor parked inside in the bushes near Leporogong village on 3 February 2018.

According to earlier reports the body was burnt beyond recognition, and only through DNA forensic investigations could the body be identified.

Tlomatsana retired at the age of 60 from the South African Police Service on 31 August 2017. He was attached to the National Corporate Communication and Liaison in Pretoria at the time of his retirement.
