Lower price tag but more power for Polo GTI

It's here, the new generation Polo GTI Volkswagen with a lower price tag.

LIMPOPO – Bosveld had the privilege to test drive one of the first Polo GTI’s on the floor of Unitrans Volkswagen Mokopane.

The Polo GTI is a sizzling hot, compact hatch with bold sporty looks and high-end features and technology. The inside of the new Polo GTI is the best in its class with a new twist. The panel board boasts with a new red fascia trim, a large touchscreen dominates the panel board and we think the volume button that VW has added back is much better for the driver.

The updated active info display has its own look and feel and the dashboard lights up with a red speedometer and rev counter that complement the red fascia trimming.

The red speedometer and ref counter compliment the new red fascia trimming.

Bosveld was impressed with the roaring 2 litre, 4-cylinder powerful motor under the hood. We took the GTI to the open road and when we pressed the sports button the GTI’s power shifted us back in our seats and speed of over the hills. The Polo GTI sticks to the road around the corners and we felt in control and could drive with confidence.

The good news is that this cheeky new version is offered at a affordable package to local buyers than the previous GTI because it is built at the Uitenhage plant in the Eastern Cape.

A feast for the eyes. The new Polo GTI. Top: Volkswagen made sure that this Polo GTI range is more affordable with the same comfort and features as its predecessors.

This new generation Polo GTI will definitely kick dust in its bigger brother the Golf GTI and with the lower price tag is there no excuse not to park the Polo GTI in your garage. Volkswagen made sure that this range is more affordable with the same comfort and features as its predecessors.
