LIMPOPO – A 43-year-old arrested for the murder of his three children has been sent for mental observation , said the police on Monday
Spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe said the suspect appeared before the Dzanani Magistrate’s Court on Monday on three counts of murder. “The cases were postponed to 17 September 2018 for mental observation and for further investigations.”
According to an earlier report the suspect hacked the children to death at around 02:00 Saturday morning after an alleged argument with his wife.
“He accused her of infidelity and chased his wife with a sharp object, however, when she managed to escape and run outside to look for help, he went to where the young boys were sleeping and killed them,” said Police spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
The boys have been identified as Tshilidzi Madou (7), Thabo Madou (6) and Olugaho Madou (2).
