A bakkie belonging to Polokwane Municipality overturned and flipped over a bridge on Nelson Mandela Drive about an hour ago (Thursday) and the driver reportedly suffered injuries.
Eyewitnesses on the scene alleged that the bakkie was driving at a high speed from Seshego towards the CBD and had to brake hard to avoid colliding with a taxi, thereby causing the vehicle to overturn. It was learnt that there were no passengers in the bakkie and that driver was rushed to hospital for medical treatment.
Municipal Spokesperson Matshidiso Mothapo indicated that they were not aware of the accident and said they would provide information in due course.
