It was all work and no play for the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in the Capricorn Region on Sunday, when members from branches in Polokwane met in Westenburg for a planning session prior to next year’s elections.
Ahead of the planning session at Westenburg community hall, EFF Capricorn Regional Chairperson Ronnie Malema said they had conducted similar sessions with district coordinators and party agents in Blouberg on Saturday and in Lepelle-Nkumpi and Molemole, starting last Thursday. He estimated 600 to 700 party representatives from 45 wards being part of the four sessions.
He explained that they were preparing branches for the elections, strengthening branches and were ensuring they all did organisational work at ground level and that all district coordinators and party agents were trained for the elections.
Malema further referred to election workshops for activists, party agents and district coordinators with the national leadership being scheduled to be held in due course.
