Five passengers travelling on the back of the one bakkie escaped with injuries after being flung from the vehicle when it left the road and landed on its side from the impact. An eyewitness indicated that he was a few meters away and saw the accident happening. He alleged that the other vehicle had sped away without any attempt to find out what happened.
Provincial Police spokesperson Mamphaswa Seabi said in a statement that two vehicles allegedly collided and that one driver fled the scene. He confirmed that five persons were taken to hospital for medical treatment. Seabi said anyone with information about the driver’s whereabouts should contact Mankweng
