A small group of protesters yet again gathered at the development opposite the entrance to Westenburg this morning (Monday), forcing workers of the contractor who is installing services on behalf of Polokwane Municipality, Ndoni Projects, to down their tools.
Raymond Goulkan, Chairman of the Westenburg Community Development Forum, said that he represents the group. “We are unhappy with the conduct of the contractor on site. The contractor does not employ enough local workers and those that are employed, are treated unfairly. It was now agreed that we will meet with the contractor tomorrow (Tuesday) at 09:00 but until then, we will not allow workers to continue with their work,” Goulkan said.
