Mankweng community to host prayer day aimed at fighting drugs and crime in the area

This will take place at the Mankweng Community Hall, today, at 13:00.

POLOKWANE – Organiser, Lekgotlala Motswikitswiki, will be hosting a community initiative which is aimed at fighting drugs and crime in the Mankweng area, where he will be working hand-in-hand with Mankweng SAPS.

“Mankweng police, through dedication, determination and commitment continue to ensure that the level of crime and drug abuse in the area decreases drastically through drug den raids; school searches and criminal hide-outs,” Motswikitswiki said.

He added that although criminal and illegal activities have declined, there’s much more that needs to be done. Therefore, he will be hosting a Prayer Day Meeting today, 21 July, at the Mankweng Community Hall, today, at 13:00.

“The aim of the event is to bring all people of Mankweng under one roof and pray together for the total eradication of crime, drugs and gangsterism that recently rose its ugly head. We’ll also use the event to educate the parents about signs of drug use and gangsterism so that they can detect it from their children before it is too late,” he concluded.
