Polokwane restaurant owner (57) shot in cold blood

Police in Polokwane have launched a manhunt for the suspect(s) responsible

POLOKWANE – According to police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe, the incident took place on Wednesday night, 18 July at Mahlatse Fast Food along Church Street in Polokwane.

The suspect walked into the shop without saying anything, pulled out a 9mm pistol and shot the 57-year-old owner. He then sped off from the scene in a Ford Ranger.

“Police were summoned to the scene and a manhunt operation ensued. The motive behind this incident is unknown and anyone with information about the incident is requested to contact Capt Otto at 0825758073/0860010111; the SMS line 32211 or the nearest police station,” he concluded.
