The trial of double murder accused Rameez Patel was earlier today (Monday) provisionally postponed by the Limpopo High Court to September pending Patel’s brother Razeen’s recovery after he was allegedly shot four times early yesterday (Sunday) morning.
The matter was also placed on the roll for continuation of trial for a week in October.
The court heard that Razeen who was expected to testify against his brother was allegedly shot twice in the head and twice in the arm along the R71 in the Mankweng policing area early Sunday morning. He is recuperating in an unknown hospital.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe earlier confirmed a shooting incident in which a man was shot four times and that no arrests were made yet.
