BREAKING NEWS – Razeen Patel shot one day before due to testify

Polokwane Observer was informed by a reliable source this morning (Monday) that Razeen Patel, brother of double murder accused Rameez, was allegedly shot four times at an unknown location on the R71 Tzaneen road yesterday morning (Sunday) on the eve of his expected testimony against his brother.
Razeen was expected to testify in the Limpopo High Court against Rameez who stands accused of murdering his wife Fatima in April 2015. According to the source he was reportedly shot twice in the head and twice in the arm. He is recuperating in hospital, the location of which the source would not reveal.
Investigating officer Richard Boshomane’s testimony last Monday already raised eyebrows when he indicated that Razeen, who was was also supposed to testify then, could not be found. His bakkie, with what seems to be blood stains on it, was found at his home in Nirvana that morning.
It was later confirmed by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) that Razeen had been found alive and that he and another witness were expected to testify this morning (Monday).
Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed an incident along the R71 in the Mankweng policing area where a man was shot four times by unknown suspects. According to Ngoepe the victim is recuperating in hospital and no arrests were made yet.
