Modelling her passport to fashion

Bobo Lephondo (13) needs to raise R39 850 and humbly asks for support from the community to help make her dreams come true.

MOKOPANE – Many young girls dream of modelling in the fashion capital, Paris. For Bobo Lephondo (13) this dream became a reality after she was chosen as one of 12 models from the Limpopo Modelling Academy to participate in a photoshoot in Paris.

Bob, a learner from Waterberg High School, needs to raise R39 850 and humbly asks for support from the community to help make her dreams come true. She will participate in the Miss Paris International photoshoot in July next year.

Katryn Barwise-Celliers, owner of the Limpopo Beauty Modelling Academy, says she will host the competition and plans to take 12 models abroad.

Lephondo says she is very passionate about modelling and started middle last year.

“I am given the amazing opportunity to participate in Paris which is a lifelong dream of any model.

“It is after all the fashion capital of the world, especially to model in front of the Eiffel Tower.”

Lephondo was also crowned the second princess at the Miss Summer Glitz SA Provincial competition at the Park Hotel in April.

“It is very expensive to travel abroad but I know anything is possible which is why I am asking businesses and the community to come on board and help me reach my dreams.” She plans to host a charity project later this year and anyone is welcome to join the initiative.
