LIMPOPO – A 33 year old man has been arrested for the rape of a mentally elderly challenged woman in Apel outside Lebowakgomo, the police said. who is also a parolee for raping a 78 year old granny in the Apel Policing precinct outside Lebowakgomo in the Polokwane Cluster.
“Officers were conducting their routine crime prevention patrol in the area, when they received a report that local residents had accosted a rape suspect. The suspect was allegedly caught red-handed in the 78-year-old victim house,” Spokesperson Col Moatshe Ngoepe said.
The officers arrested the suspect and he was immediately conveyed to the hospital for medical attention.
He will appear before the Sekhukhune Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 16 July on a charge of rape.
The Police investigations are still continuing.
