LIMPOPO -Three people died after two vehicles collided with an on-coming truck along the R524 road next to Ha-Ratombo farm between Makhado and Thohoyandou on Wednesday afternoon.
“The two motor vehicles, an Isuzu bakkie and a Mazda sedan, were travelling in the same direction on the two way road when they crashed and collided with the truck in the on-coming lane. A husband and wife, both passengers in the Mazda Midge, were certified dead at the scene. A passenger in the Isuzu bakkie passed away on the way to hospital,” said Police spokesperson, Col Moatshe Ngoepe.
Four people (including the driver) who were travelling the truck as well as the driver of the Isuzu sustained serious injuries and are still recuperating in hospital, he confirmed.
The exact cause of this accident is a subject to ongoing investigations.
